Golfinhos, Cormorão ou Corvo-Marinho, Garças brancas, Garças cinzentas, Pilritos de peito preto, Garrentos, Pernilongo, Cegonhas brancas, Alfaiates, Flamingos.
Occasionally you can observe Garça vermelha, Garçote, Águia Sapeira, Camão, Borrelho grande de coleira, Milherango, Chilreta, Corujas do Nabal.
For bird watching observation lovers, there is technical information available on board.

10h15 – Sea-going from Fontainhas Marina
10h30 – Take out ropes
10h45 - Hoisting Sails (do participate, leave your sit, and make some exercise!)
11h00 – Swimming in the ocean close to the beach
14h00 – Free navigation or anchoring in a sheltered local
16h00/17h00 – Setubal Marina arrival.

Sul da Costa da Galé Route

Sea-going from Fontainhas Marina, taking S direction. Roughly in the middle of the river you can look at the Conspicuous Points:

1. Palmela Castle (VIII century) (cardinal point N).
2. S. Filipe Pousada (XVI) (NW)
3. Albarquel Fort (XVII) (ONW)
Giving port to buoy nº2 João Farto Cardinal W with Troia Peninsula to
our portside fixing our bow to Sado Natural Bar. Facing N direction you can look:
4. Comenda Palace (XX) (NNW)
5. Outão Coastal Fort (XIII) (WNW)
Point of sail to: mark nº5 taking the old Mine Channel, peeping at our deep sounder meter and only after mid tide up, we give starboard (EB) to nº5 taking SE direction.
6. We get abeam Ponta do Adoxe (BB).
7. Bico das Lulas: Troia peninsula wonderful beach with its magnificent crystal turquoise waters.
8. Soltroia beach and,… the paradise continue.
9. Galé Coast and finally you surrender yourself to so must beauty.
10. Direction, NW, N, and finally NE, with the amazing beauty of Arrábida
Sierra on our bow, and Troia peninsula shallows at starboard always
aside by Arrabida Meridian Convent, reminding the famous words of
Franciscan' monks when they first stepped up and became astonished
with so much beauty “Oh! Good Lord if I´m not in heaven, I am nearby”.
11. With sails half in half out to Outão Coastal Fort, you strongly feel the
silence and beauty of this route listening only the legendary sounds of sailing.
12. AHEAD! COME AROUND! A BIT MORE! SPEED; SHEET IN, OUT A BIT, WIND JUMP! and…….
